About this notice

The short version,in plain English.

CuliRock sells one product, the CuliRock Meat Grinder, from an online-only store at www.culirock.com. The words, photos, and design that present it are valuable, and so is the CuliRock name. This notice applies to every page of the site, including our All Products page, and it works together with our Terms of Service and Legal Notice.

We own our content

Our site content, logo, and product photography belong to Ilias Ventures LLC, and are protected by U.S. copyright and trademark law.

You keep your consumer rights

Buying a grinder gives you full ownership of that unit. Nothing here limits your right to use, lend, give away, or resell it.

Report misuse easily

If you think something on our site, or something using our name, infringes your rights, tell us and we will act promptly.

Trademark

The CuliRock nameand logo.

CuliRock™, the CuliRock logo, and related brand elements are trademarks of Ilias Ventures LLC, used for home meat-grinding equipment sold in the United States. We claim trademark rights in them under U.S. law, including common-law rights that arise from use in commerce, and the protections of the Lanham Act (15 U.S.C. section 1051 and following).

How we mark our brand

  • We use the ™ symbol to show that we claim the mark as ours. We use the ® symbol only for a mark that is registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and only for the goods it covers.
  • You can search federal trademark records for free at the USPTO trademark search.
  • Our product names and model identifiers are our own, and we do not use another company’s brand to describe our grinder.

What the trademark means for you

  • Do not use a name, logo, domain name, or social account that is identical or confusingly similar to CuliRock.
  • Do not suggest that your product, store, or page is made, sponsored, or approved by CuliRock when it is not.
  • Fair, honest references to our brand are allowed, as explained in the next section.

Other trademarks. All other product names, brand names, and logos mentioned on our site are trademarks of their owners. Where we name another brand, it is only to identify it factually, such as a payment method. We do not claim any right in it.

Restrictions on use

What you may do,and what needs permission.

Except as allowed below or by law, no part of our site or brand assets may be reproduced, distributed, modified, displayed, or used without written permission from Ilias Ventures LLC. Written permission means an email or letter from us. A comment on social media or a verbal approval is not enough.

Allowed without asking

  • Viewing the site and printing or saving a page for your own personal, non-commercial use, such as your order details or the warranty.
  • Sharing a link to any CuliRock page.
  • Honest reviews, commentary, news reporting, or criticism that make fair use of short excerpts, with accurate credit to CuliRock.
  • Reselling, giving away, or lending a genuine CuliRock grinder that you bought from us. You may describe it truthfully as a genuine, used, or pre-owned CuliRock grinder (the “first sale” rights in 17 U.S.C. section 109 and trademark law).

Not allowed without written permission

  • Copying, scraping, or republishing our text, photos, designs, or page code on another website, marketplace, app, or ad.
  • Using our product photos or brand assets to advertise or sell products that we did not make or do not sell, including look-alikes and counterfeit products.
  • Using the CuliRock name or logo in marketing, ads, domain names, social handles, or search keywords in a way that suggests you are CuliRock or an authorized seller.
  • Reselling or marketing CuliRock products as an authorized dealer, or running reseller or affiliate programs in our name.
  • Removing copyright notices, watermarks, or other ownership information from our content.
  • Framing, mirroring, or automated bulk copying of the site, or using it to train a commercial dataset.

Asking for permission. Email support@culirock.com with the subject “Permission request.” Tell us who you are, exactly what you want to use, where it will appear, and for how long. We aim to reply within 1 business day. Permission applies only to the use described in writing, and we may withdraw it if the use changes or becomes misleading.

U.S. federal and state law

The laws behindthis notice.

Intellectual property protection in the United States comes from federal and state law. Select a topic to see how it applies to a store like ours.

  • Copyright Act (17 U.S.C.). Copyright protects original works, including text, photographs, and graphics, from the moment they are created, with or without a notice or registration. The owner has the exclusive right to copy, distribute, display, and adapt them (section 106).
  • Infringement remedies. Section 501 and following give owners remedies including injunctions, damages, and in some cases statutory damages and attorney’s fees. Registration with the U.S. Copyright Office is generally needed before a U.S. owner can sue, and it affects some remedies.
  • Fair use (section 107). Limited uses such as commentary, criticism, news reporting, and education can be fair use. It depends on the facts, and we consider it before acting on any notice.
  • Copyright management information (section 1202). Removing or falsifying credits, watermarks, or ownership details to hide infringement is separately prohibited.
  • Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Section 512 sets out the notice and takedown process described in the reporting section of this page.
  • Lanham Act (15 U.S.C. section 1051 and following). Protects against using a mark in a way that is likely to cause confusion about source, sponsorship, or approval (sections 1114 and 1125(a)), and against counterfeit goods.
  • Dilution and cybersquatting. Section 1125(c) protects famous marks from dilution, and section 1125(d) (the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act) addresses bad-faith domain names that copy a mark.
  • Common-law rights. In the U.S., a business can have enforceable rights in a mark it actually uses, even without federal registration, in the areas where it is used and known.
  • Truthful advertising. Section 5 of the FTC Act and Lanham Act section 1125(a) prohibit false or misleading claims. We do not use fake endorsements or another seller’s identity.
  • Patents. We do not make patent claims on this page. If we mark a product as patented, the patent number will be shown on the product materials, as 35 U.S.C. section 287 contemplates.
  • The Defend Trade Secrets Act (18 U.S.C. section 1836) and state trade secret laws, most based on the Uniform Trade Secrets Act, protect confidential business information such as supplier terms, pricing, and customer data.
  • Any business information we share with you privately stays our property, and you may not disclose or use it without our written consent.

Every state has its own laws on top of federal law. The main ones that may affect your rights or ours are below. We apply the stronger protection to every customer, wherever you live.
